Do you attack outside your faction?

Here's a question about how others play the game: When you play the game, and launch Operations to attack another spy, do you limit yourself to attacking just the other side? That is, if you are a Spymaster, do you only attack Masterminds (and vice versa), or do you go after everyone? I've tended to mostly go outside my faction, but maybe I should be a little more ruthless to my fellow Spymasters...

Hi Cliff,
In the first part of the game you just have the two sides of good and evil and you can attack any other player. When you reach level 19 you will be directed to choose a specific faction. For Spymasters you will have to pick an Agency to work for FROST, KGB, STASI, or MI-6. From that point you will only be given targets outside of your faction (plus as with any archetype you will get special bonus features - depending on which way you go.)
After you've picked an Agency then there's the added goal to keep that Agency on top (winning the cold war.)
Thanks!

Oh, I knew spymasters *could* attack other spymasters (and masterminds other masterminds) --I just wondered if there was any reason not to do so or if other players attacked both types of targets or not. Seems kind of odd to have the good guys sabotaging other good guys (though I suppose if there is no honor among thieves, the masterminds would go after each other...)
